2023 U.S. Military Foreign Sales Up 56%

The U.S. government directly transferred a record $80.9 billion of military equipment and services to other countries in fiscal 2023 – an increase of over 50% in 2022, the U.S. State Department reports.

Poland was the largest customer, with over $30 billion in transfers agreed, including $12 for Apache attack helicopters and $10 billion for HIMARS rocket systems.

Additionally, U.S. private military contractor sales to overseas nations totaled $157.5 billion in the 2023 financial year – totaling $238.4 billion in U.S. weapons sales.
