Another 50,000 Doses Of Russia's Sputnik V To Arrive In PH

The Philippines will receive another 50,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine from Russia, the National Task Force Against Covid-19 announced.

  • On May 1, the first 15,000 doses of Sputnik V arrived in the country after its delivery was delayed because of logistical issues and flight concerns.
  • The initial doses were distributed to five cities in Metro Manila due to their capacity to store the drugs. The vaccines produced by the pharmaceutical company, Gamaleya Research Institute, must be stored inside a dark place with a temperature not exceeding -18°C.
  • The country is expecting a total of 5 million Sputnik V vaccines.
