Haiti Kidnappers Release Two Missionaries Among 17 Abducted

The abduction of the missionaries and their family members, including children, was reported on Oct 16.

They were returning from a visit to an orphanage when gang members seized the bus they were traveling in on the main road in Ganthier, east of the capital, Port-au-Prince.

All of those abducted at the time - five men, seven women, and five children - are US citizens, except one Canadian national.

The gang reported to be behind the kidnappings, which goes by 400 Mazowo, later demanded a ransom of $1m (£740,000) for each person.
