Homeownership Is Still Part Of The American Dream

The housing market is overheating.  In July, the median price of existing homes sold was $359,900, while new homes sold was $390,500.  Does this dampen Americans' enthusiasm for homeownership as part of the American Dream?

No, it does not.

The latest Investor's Business Daily/TIPP national poll of 1,300 Americans completed in late July shows Americans' feelings about this issue.  We asked, "Do you believe homeownership is part of your American Dream?"
