North Korea Stages Artillery Firing Drill In Latest Weapons Test

On November 6, senior government and military officials attended an artillery firing competition among mechanized units.

This year's drills inspected the progress of mechanized units in their mobile combat capabilities and further intensified competitive training throughout the North's military.

Since September, North Korea has conducted missile tests, including nuclear-capable weapons capable of striking U.S. allies South Korea and Japan.  Pyongyang continues to press Washington and Seoul to abandon what it calls their hostile policy toward it.
