Actress Hayden Panettiere Dies At 36 After Cardiac Arrest

Actress Hayden Panettiere was found in cardiac arrest and pronounced dead at a hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sunday, according to authorities.

She was 36 years old, and officials said the cause of death remains pending further investigation and additional medical studies.

Panettiere began her career as a child actress before gaining widespread recognition for her roles as Claire Bennet in "Heroes" and Juliette Barnes in "Nashville." She also appeared in films including "Remember the Titans," "Raising Helen" and "Scream 4."

The report said Panettiere had spoken openly about personal struggles in her May memoir, "This Is Me: A Reckoning," including addiction, postpartum depression and the grief she experienced following the death of her younger brother, Jansen Panettiere.
