Actress Hayden Panettiere was found in cardiac arrest and pronounced dead at a hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sunday, according to authorities.
She was 36 years old, and officials said the cause of death remains pending further investigation and additional medical studies.
The report said Panettiere had spoken openly about personal struggles in her May memoir, "This Is Me: A Reckoning," including addiction, postpartum depression and the grief she experienced following the death of her younger brother, Jansen Panettiere.
