Amazon has rolled out one-hour and three-hour delivery services across parts of the United States, signaling a major push in the race for ultrafast shipping. The company said three-hour delivery is now available in about 2,000 locations, while one-hour delivery is offered in select cities.

According to Amazon, over 90,000 products are eligible, including groceries, medicines, and household essentials.

The move builds on Amazon’s long-term strategy to shorten delivery times, from two-day shipping under Prime to same-day services. The report said the company has been testing faster options, including 30-minute deliveries and drone-based logistics.

Amazon executives said the expansion is aimed at saving time for increasingly busy consumers. The service includes added fees, with Prime members paying lower rates.

The rollout comes as rivals like Walmart and delivery platforms intensify competition, offering rapid fulfillment through physical stores and gig-based networks.
