Apple Goes From Hero To Zero As Trump Changes Tune

Apple is having a remarkably miserable year, further exacerbated by President Trump’s recent threat to add a 25% tariff to iPhones made anywhere except the United States.

U.S. President Trump surprised his own administration and the Apple board of directors last Friday when he threatened to add tariffs of 25% to iPhones made anywhere except the United States.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, once dubbed the “Trump Whisperer” for seemingly managing to keep the volatile president at bay, seems to have lost his mojo – going from once winning President Trump’s praise to drawing his ire in what has been a surprisingly bad year for the tech giant.
