Apple has launched a new "Apple Upgrade" leasing program in the United States through a partnership with digital payments provider Klarna, offering customers monthly payment options for iPhones, Apple Watches, iPads, and Mac computers.
According to the company, lease terms range from 12 to 36 months, with monthly payments starting at $11.99 for Apple Watches and iPads, $17.99 for iPhones, and $24.99 for Macs.
The report said AppleCare+ is no longer bundled with the financing plan and must be purchased separately. Customers will also manage their leases through the Klarna app.
At the end of the lease, users can return the device, buy it through a one-time payment, or upgrade to a newer model. If no action is taken, the lease automatically shifts to a month-to-month arrangement for up to six months.
