He noted that over 50 countries have responded positively to Trump’s push for a fairer global trade system, signaling a willingness to engage in meaningful negotiations in the coming weeks. Bessent’s remarks underscore the growing divide between countries willing to collaborate on trade reform and those, like China, choosing confrontation.
