President Donald Trump on Thursday celebrated a $10 billion aircraft order from British Airways as a major win for American industry, tying the deal directly to his new trade agreement with the UK. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the agreement, announced just a day earlier, is “amazing for both countries” and proves that his tariff strategy is paying off. “British Airways just ordered $10 billion worth of new Boeing planes,” he wrote. “We’re going to make a fortune with tariffs.”

Trump used the opportunity to criticize MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle, accusing her of lying about tariffs and calling her coverage part of a broader effort to deny him credit. He also attacked the network, referring to it as “MSDNC” and claiming it acts as a political tool for Democrats.
