Centrifuges Hit, Iran Launches Hypersonic Missile

A new surface-to-surface 4th generation Khorramshahr ballistic missile called Kheibar with a range of 2,000 km is launched at an undisclosed location in Iran, in this picture obtained on May 25, 2023

The Israeli Air Force struck two centrifuge production sites near Tehran as well as missile sites, while Iran responded with further missile launches, although they appear to have diminished.

However, Iran says it deployed the hypersonic Fattah missile, which breached Israel’s Iron Dome air defence shield, and claims to have hit the Mossad HQ in Herzliya and military intelligence in Tel Aviv. Israel denied the claims and says Iran has no hypersonic missiles.

The apparent reduction in the intensity of Iran’s missile salvoes is thought to be due to a reduction in their capability due to the Israeli attacks.

A Washington-based Iranian human rights group says that Israeli strikes have killed 585 people in Iran, around 125 of them military personnel, an injured over 1,300. 24 people have died in Iranian missile attacks on Israel, with no new casualties overnight.
