China has vowed to “fight to the end” and not bow to “blackmail” from the U.S. as a global trade war ignited by President Trump’s severe tariffs shows little sign of ending.
According to two influential bloggers in China, authorities there are considering a slew of new levies on U.S. imports, including farm produce and Hollywood movies.
Also, the importance of the U.S. as a trade destination for China is not what it used to be, with shipments down from 21.4% of all exports twenty years ago, to 14.7% in 2024.
