Israel has intensified its military campaign against Iran, warning that strikes will “escalate and expand” as the conflict shows no signs of easing, reported by CBS News. Israeli officials said new attacks targeted weapons production sites and missile infrastructure in Tehran and western Iran.
According to Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz, continued missile fire from Iran has prompted a broader response, with additional targets now under consideration. Air raid sirens continued to sound across Israel as Iranian missile launches persisted.

At the same time, President Donald Trump said U.S.-led negotiations to end the war are “going very well” and has extended time for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The report said Washington has also proposed a ceasefire plan that includes Iran relinquishing control of the key waterway.
However, Iran has not indicated any willingness to back down, raising concerns that both military escalation and diplomatic efforts may proceed in parallel.
