Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies surged after President Donald Trump urged Congress to advance the crypto Clarity Act, according to the report. Bitcoin climbed about 5.2% to roughly $71,880, while ether gained more than 9% to around $2,289.

The rally was supported by both political and economic factors. Trump also signaled possible regulatory attention toward Hyperliquid, a decentralized trading platform whose token jumped about 25% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data.

Falling Treasury yields provided another boost to risk assets. The U.S. Treasury announced larger buybacks of long-dated government bonds, pushing yields lower and potentially making cryptocurrencies more attractive to investors.

Analysts cited in the report said the combination of policy support and improving macroeconomic conditions helped fuel the rally. Standard Chartered’s Geoffrey Kendrick said investors could position for Bitcoin to reach $100,000 by the end of 2026.

The sharp moves also triggered major short liquidations, while ether reached a three-month high.
