The Justice Department will release its files on Jeffrey Epstein within 30 days, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Wednesday, after Congress voted overwhelmingly to require the Trump administration to make the documents public.
Bondi said the department would follow the new law and “encourage maximum transparency,” while cautioning that some material may be withheld to protect ongoing Trump-ordered investigations involving Democrats connected to Epstein.

The release is expected to reignite political tensions. The Epstein scandal has dogged President Donald Trump for months, fueled by conspiracy theories he once amplified.
Many of his supporters believe the administration concealed key details about Epstein’s death in federal custody in 2019, which was ruled a suicide.
Bondi also confirmed that the Justice Department will redact identifying information about sex-trafficking victims.
The upcoming disclosure marks the most significant step yet toward public access to long-secret records tied to Epstein’s crimes and his network of associates.
