Amazon said drones struck three of its Middle East data centers, disrupting cloud operations as the Iran conflict intensifies, according to CBS News. Two Amazon Web Services facilities in the United Arab Emirates were directly hit, while a nearby strike damaged a center in Bahrain.
The company said the attacks caused structural damage, power disruptions, and fire suppression efforts that led to additional water damage.

AWS reported significantly impaired operations across the region, with customers experiencing elevated error rates and reduced service availability.
Amazon said it is working to restore systems and repair facilities but warned that conditions in the region remain unpredictable.
Customers were advised to back up data and consider shifting workloads to other regions. Amazon shares fell about 1.6 percent in early trading following the announcement.
