The Justice Department has sent Congress a list of more than 300 prominent individuals whose names appear in records tied to investigations of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The six-page letter, signed by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, was delivered to leaders of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees as required under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
The department stressed that inclusion on the list does not indicate wrongdoing or direct contact with Epstein.

The list spans presidents, business leaders, government officials, and cultural figures, including some who are deceased.
It names individuals previously linked to Epstein, such as President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, and financier Les Wexner.
Lawmakers from both parties criticized the release, arguing it blurs lines between documented ties and incidental mentions. The DOJ also defended ongoing redactions, citing legal privileges, amid continued scrutiny from Congress and Epstein victims.
