The chairman of the organizing committee for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games is facing growing pressure to resign after newly released Justice Department records revealed past email exchanges with Ghislaine Maxwell.
The emails, dating back to 2003, were included in a large document release tied to the federal investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.
The messages show flirtatious and intimate language between Maxwell and Casey Wasserman, who also leads the LA28, according to CNN.

Wasserman has not been accused of criminal wrongdoing and said he never had a personal or business relationship with Epstein. He apologized for the emails, which predate Maxwell’s conviction.
Several Los Angeles officials said the revelations risk undermining public trust as the city prepares to host the 2028 Games, expected to generate billions in economic activity.
Mayor Karen Bass stopped short of calling for resignation, saying leadership decisions rest with the LA28 board.
