The amount of cash being spent by eurozone governments to help people and businesses deal with the energy price hike and soaring inflation has surpassed €280 billion euros, according to an analysis by Reuters and think tank Bruegel.
The bloc’s governments have so far committed €282 billion euros (2.3% of their combined gross domestic product) to relief measures.
