Organizers of a Gaza-bound flotilla carrying humanitarian aid say one of its boats carrying activists, including Greta Thunberg, was attacked by a drone at a port in Tunisia. Tunisian authorities deny claims.

The vessel, part of the Global Sumud Flotilla for Gaza (GSF), was carrying members of the flotilla’s steering committee, including Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg. According to organisers, the strike caused a fire that damaged the main deck and below-deck storage areas, but no injuries were reported.
The GSF comprises around 20 vessels with activists from 44 nations. The mission seeks to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and challenge Israel’s long-standing naval blockade of the territory.
The flotilla set sail from Barcelona last week and arrived in Tunisia on Sunday.
The flotilla plans to continue its voyage despite the incident, with organisers vowing to press ahead in what they call a “global act of civil resistance”.
