Ford Motor Company is recalling nearly 230,000 vehicles in the United States after discovering a software flaw that can cause instrument panel displays to fail, according to a notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The defect can prevent warning lights, vehicle speed, and other essential information from appearing on the dashboard.

The recall covers 2025–2026 Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport models. Ford said all affected vehicles are believed to contain the malfunction.

The automaker will fix the issue through a free software update, available either at dealerships or through an over-the-air upgrade.

As of Nov. 7, Ford had received 12 warranty claims potentially tied to the display failure, NHTSA documents show. Owners can reach Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference recall number 25SC3.

This recall follows a larger action last month involving 740,000 Ford vehicles due to camera, steering, and seatbelt defects.
