George W. Bush Unveils Paintings Recalling His Experience Of 9/11

Former President George W. Bush has unveiled a 16-piece art exhibition reflecting on his personal experience of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Titled “Remembering 9/11,” the collection opened at the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas on the 25th anniversary of the attacks.

Several paintings depict moments from Bush’s experience that day, including the Florida classroom visit where White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card informed him that a second plane had struck the World Trade Center.

Other works focus on the courage, resilience and willingness of ordinary Americans to help one another following the tragedy.

The exhibition has drawn mixed reactions, with some visitors praising its emotional impact while critics have questioned whether the collection primarily serves as remembrance or contributes to efforts to rehabilitate Bush’s public image.

The exhibition will remain on display through Sept. 30, offering a personal artistic reflection on an event that killed 2,977 people and reshaped U.S. history.
