Hamas Partially Accepts Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan, Agrees To Release Hostages

U.S. President Donald Trump

Hamas announced Friday it has accepted parts of President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan to end the Gaza war, including relinquishing power and releasing all remaining hostages.

However, the group said other provisions require further consultations with Palestinian factions.

The announcement came just hours after President Trump issued a stern warning, demanding Hamas agree to the deal by Sunday evening or face a dramatically intensified military campaign.

Trump has emphasized that the agreement represents the “last chance” for Hamas, stressing, “There will be peace in the Middle East one way or the other.”

Israel has formally endorsed the plan, and world leaders have largely welcomed it, while mediators Egypt and Qatar noted some details still require negotiation.

Trump is pressing to finalize the accord ahead of the second anniversary of the Oct. 7 attacks that sparked the conflict. The international community is now watching whether Hamas fully commits.
