President Donald Trump and U.K. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer signed a sweeping $340 billion U.K.-U.S. Tech Prosperity Deal on Thursday, calling it the largest commercial package ever secured during a state visit. The agreement underscores the depth of the transatlantic alliance while strengthening America’s role in the global technology race.

The deal centers on artificial intelligence and energy investment. U.S. firms including Nvidia, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, and Salesforce pledged over $200 billion for U.K. data centers, labs, and supercomputing.

The plan is expected to create 15,000 British jobs and reinforce America’s AI dominance. In return, U.K. investments in U.S. pharmaceuticals and technology will exceed $30 billion.

Starmer also announced construction of 12 new nuclear reactors in England to boost energy security. Trump praised the “special relationship” with Britain, saying the United States and United Kingdom “have done more good on this planet than any two nations in human history.”
