A Financial Times investigation has uncovered a reported covert Russian program assisting Iran in developing supersonic cruise missile technology.

According to the FT report, the multiyear effort, known as C430L, represents one of the most significant reported transfers of strategic military technology from Moscow to Tehran.

The program allegedly involves experienced Russian missile specialists helping Iran develop weapons capable of targeting U.S. aircraft carriers and other warships.

The report said the project focuses on ramjet propulsion, which could allow cruise missiles to travel several times faster than the speed of sound. Military experts cited by the FT said the technology would likely support anti-ship and land-attack missiles.

The allegations come as Iran faces heightened military tensions with Israel and the United States. Western intelligence agencies have also accused Russia of supporting Iran through satellite imagery and assistance for its drone operations.

President Donald Trump has previously dismissed some claims of Russian assistance while warning Moscow against supporting Iran.
