A new report from the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project has revealed that former President Joe Biden used an autopen to sign hundreds of official documents, with investigators identifying three distinct mechanical signatures across his presidency.
Kyle Brosnan, the project’s lead investigator, told Fox News that proclamations from the National Archives confirmed use of the autopen as early as 2021.
The team concluded the consistent, flawless nature of the signatures pointed to mechanical reproduction.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) vowed to expand his panel’s probe into Biden’s cognitive health, arguing that widespread autopen use further raises doubts about who was in control during Biden’s presidency. Comer accused the administration and media of covering up Biden’s decline.
Biden rejected such claims last week, asserting he made all presidential decisions.
President Donald Trump has now ordered the attorney general to investigate whether others in Biden’s White House misled the public.
