Speaking to Fox News anchor Bret Baier, Araghchi confirmed that operations at the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites are currently suspended due to extensive damage. “We are still evaluating the full extent of the destruction,” he said, adding that uranium enrichment has been halted for now.

The coordinated strikes last month by the U.S. Air Force and Navy targeted Iran’s underground nuclear infrastructure, which American officials say had accelerated its enrichment activities in violation of international norms.
The Biden-era policy of containment has shifted under President Donald Trump’s administration toward preemptive deterrence, reflecting a more assertive national security doctrine.
The State Department has not yet commented on Araghchi’s remarks.
