Iranian authorities are also reportedly preparing the public for potential conflict through rallies and military training initiatives. President Donald Trump has said US forces will not attack Iran before the elections.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s coalition intercepted a ballistic missile targeting Riyadh, Reuters reported. Houthi attacks have disrupted airport operations, with King Khalid International Airport’s closure extended until Saturday.

In Britain, Prime Minister Andy Burnham said an attempted attack on an air force base was almost certainly directed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

British authorities have arrested five suspects. Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband summoned Iran’s ambassador, while Trump said US long-range bombers had been moved out of Britain following a threat.
