Iran has threatened to take what it called "necessary measures" against Ukraine following an attack on an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea, reported by CBS News.
According to the report, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei rejected Ukraine's claim that the July 25 strike was accidental. He said the available evidence, including public statements by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, indicated the attack was deliberate.
The report said Zelenskyy had previously stated that Ukraine did not want to open a new front in the conflict but argued that Iran had already become involved by supplying attack drones to Russia, which Moscow has used in its war against Ukraine.

Tehran will take all necessary measures to hold Kiev accountable and prevent similar incidents in the future, Esmaeil Baqaei noted.
