DoorDash experienced a widespread service disruption on Tuesday, leaving thousands of customers, delivery drivers, and merchants unable to access key features of the platform.
Users reported problems logging into accounts, placing food orders, tracking deliveries, and accessing the company's website and mobile applications.
In response to the disruption, DoorDash acknowledged the issue and stated that its technical teams were working urgently to restore normal operations.
The company said it was aware of the platform-wide problems and was actively investigating the cause of the outage.
However, there was no confirmed indication that the disruptions were linked, and no widespread problems were reported by major cloud infrastructure providers at the time.
As the day progressed, reports of outages declined significantly from their peak levels, suggesting that recovery efforts were having an effect. While some users continued to experience intermittent issues, service appeared to be gradually returning to normal.
DoorDash has not yet provided a detailed explanation of what caused the outage, but the company is expected to release additional information once its investigation is complete.
