Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed plans to reoccupy all of Gaza during an interview with Fox News on Thursday. The decision is under discussion by Israel's security cabinet, despite opposition from military leaders, global allies, and families of hostages still held by Hamas.
Netanyahu said the goal is to eliminate Hamas and eventually hand Gaza over to "Arab forces" that do not threaten Israel.

The proposal includes a five-month phased operation requiring the evacuation of over one million Palestinians and a sharp increase in humanitarian aid sites, supported by the U.S. and operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

Critics, including IDF Chief Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and hostage families, warn that the plan risks more Israeli lives and escalates the crisis.
Domestic protests and military dissent continue to grow, even as far-right cabinet ministers push for permanent settlements in Gaza.
U.S. President Donald Trump said it was "pretty much up to Israel" whether to occupy all of Gaza, signaling his administration's strong support for Netanyahu's plan.
