Jamie Raskin Dodges Question On Epstein Probe Under Biden DOJ

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD)

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) struggled to respond when asked why Democrats took no visible action on Jeffrey Epstein-related investigations while controlling the Department of Justice from 2021 to 2025.

“So, uh…the, I mean… you have to go back, uh… and look specifically at uh… particular prosecutorial decisions...uhhh... and what was taking place in terms of the other cases... so, I don't know,” Raskin said, appearing caught off guard.

The clip quickly circulated online, fueling criticism from Republicans and Epstein watchdogs who say Democrats ignored the case during their tenure. Raskin’s hesitation has raised further questions about the Biden-era DOJ’s transparency regarding Epstein’s known associates and sealed records.

The moment comes as pressure mounts on the Justice Department under Trump’s second term to release more information about Epstein’s network. Despite past promises of accountability, little progress was made under previous administrations.
