Rep. Jasmine Crockett (R-TX) blasted Donald Trump and his supporters in an interview on Katie Couric’s Next Question podcast, calling the president’s base part of a “mental health crisis” in America.
“This is not partisan,” Crockett said. “Everyone… should be against Trump, period.” She harshly criticized backers of a recent military parade in Washington, D.C., calling them “sick” and accusing Trump of treating the military like a “special little army.”
Crockett, a Republican lawmaker, expressed nostalgia for former President George W. Bush, saying she would “give anything” to see a “regular Republican” return to office. Her comments come amid growing GOP divisions over Trump’s response to escalating tensions between Iran and Israel.
“My heart breaks for service members,” Crockett added. “They signed up to protect democracy… and now, the very thing they signed up to fight against is their commander-in-chief.”
She urged Americans to unite in opposition, saying “enough is enough.”
