Joe Biden Visits Israel, West Bank And Saudi Arabia
Biden will arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport on July 13. He was originally scheduled to visit the Palmachin air base for an exhibit of weapons, but organizers later decided to hold the event at Ben-airport.
Biden will then travel to Jerusalem where he will meet with Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas over the next two days.
After visiting Israel, Biden will go to Saudi Arabia on July 16.
The visit comes as Biden faces criticism at home from human rights groups for plans to see Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto leader who the U.S. intelligence community concluded was behind the 2018 murder of Washington Post journalist and political opponent Jamal Khashoggi.
