A federal judge has rejected the Trump administration’s request to unseal grand jury transcripts from the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

Judge Richard Berman ruled that the Justice Department failed to meet the legal threshold required to release the sensitive materials, CNN reported.

Berman emphasized that the sealed transcripts represent only a small portion of the broader case already in DOJ hands.

“The information contained in the Epstein grand jury transcripts pales in comparison to the Epstein investigation information and materials in the hand of the Department of Justice,” he wrote. The DOJ declined to comment.
