Despite being political adversaries, the dinner, also attended by UFC CEO Dana White, was described as “pleasant” by Kid Rock.
The group discussed common issues like ending "wokeness" and securing the border, with Trump asking Maher for his views on foreign policy. Kid Rock emphasized the importance of face-to-face dialogue to foster understanding. Although Maher has been a vocal critic of Trump, Kid Rock felt the event was successful in breaking down barriers. Trump, initially skeptical about the dinner, later called it a positive experience, even giving the guests a tour of the White House.
