More than 100 lawsuits are being prepared against Six Flags Magic Mountain over allegations that riders suffered traumatic brain injuries while riding the X2 roller coaster.
Attorney Gary Dordick said his firm plans to file the cases, with experts attributing the alleged injuries to rapid acceleration and deceleration during the ride. X2 features rotating seats and reaches speeds of nearly 80 mph while navigating sharp turns.
Two women, Naomi Greer-Wilkinson and Pamela Guillen, reportedly required emergency brain surgery after suffering severe hemorrhages in July.
Attorney Michael Wilk has also alleged that a client experienced lasting effects including memory loss and brain fog after riding the attraction.
Legal filings cited by the attorneys document at least two deaths and more than a dozen serious injuries associated with the attraction over more than a decade. The allegations remain subject to legal proceedings and investigation.
