Israel carried out multiple airstrikes across southern and eastern Lebanon on Monday and early Tuesday, just days before Lebanese officials are set to discuss the disarmament of Hezbollah, according to the Associated Press.
A predawn strike destroyed a three-story commercial building in the coastal city of Sidon. Lebanese authorities said the building was unoccupied.

One person was taken to a hospital, and no fatalities were reported. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the strikes, saying they undermine efforts to stabilize the country and extend state authority.
Israel’s military said it targeted weapons storage sites and infrastructure used by Hezbollah and Hamas, accusing both groups of operating in civilian areas.
The strikes come amid near-daily Israeli operations since a U.S.-brokered ceasefire in 2024. Lebanon’s government is scheduled to review Hezbollah’s disarmament later this week.
