Lindsay Clancy Juror Rejects Claims He Had Doubts About Evidence

The lone holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy triple-murder trial has rejected claims that he doubted the evidence, saying he believed it supported a guilty verdict, according to CNN.

Michael P. Desronvil, 48, said he was trying to discuss possible theories during deliberations but felt other jurors interpreted his questions as uncertainty. He said the physical evidence, witness testimony and prosecution's case convinced him Clancy knew what she was doing and had planned the killings.

The seven-week Massachusetts trial ended in a mistrial on September 4 after jurors failed to reach unanimity following more than 38 hours of deliberations. The panel was reportedly split 11-1, with several jurors criticizing Desronvil for allegedly failing to properly apply the law on reasonable doubt.

Clancy admitted killing her three children in January 2023. Her defense argued she was experiencing postpartum psychosis and should not be held criminally responsible.

Prosecutors have not decided whether to seek a retrial. Clancy is due back in court September 29.
