Organizers of the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics say they will offer affordable ticket options as the Games approach, pushing back against growing concerns over high prices at major global sporting events.
LA28 officials announced Monday that fans can register for Olympic tickets starting January 14, 2026.

At least one million tickets will be priced at $28, with roughly one-third of all tickets costing under $100, Reuters reported. Organizers said the pricing commitment will apply across all sports, not just limited seats.
After registering, fans will enter a random draw for time slots to purchase tickets later in 2026.
The announcement comes amid backlash over next year’s FIFA World Cup, where final match tickets reportedly exceeded $4,000. FIFA defended the pricing, citing strong demand and reinvestment plans.
