Meta has introduced Muse Spark 1.1, its latest artificial intelligence model focused on coding and AI agents, as the company steps up competition with OpenAI and Anthropic.
Meta AI chief Alexandr Wang said the company is pricing the service aggressively to encourage adoption. New users will receive $20 in free credits before usage-based charges apply.
The report said Muse Spark 1.1 is designed to improve AI agents that can independently complete complex tasks. Meta claims the model performs strongly in coding workflows and supports widely used developer tools.
The launch comes as Meta faces pressure to generate returns from its heavy AI investments. The company is also developing a more powerful AI model, currently code-named Watermelon, according to Wang.
