New video footage appears to show a U.S. missile striking an Iranian Revolutionary Guard naval base near a school where Iranian state media say more than 160 children and teachers were killed, according to CNN.

The footage, released by Iran’s semi official Mehr News agency, shows a missile consistent with a U.S. Tomahawk Land Attack Missile hitting a facility inside the IRGC base in Minab, southern Iran. Weapons experts cited by CNN said the missile’s shape and size match a Tomahawk system used by the U.S. Navy.

A large plume of smoke is also visible from the nearby Shajareh Tayyiba school, where Iranian media reported at least 168 children and 14 teachers died in the attack.

President Donald Trump has said Iran was responsible, claiming Iranian weapons were inaccurate. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the incident remains under investigation.

U.S. Central Command confirmed strikes on military targets in southern Iran but has not commented directly on the school incident.
