In 2025, the highest number of migrating millionaires ever recorded are setting up homes in pastures new, with 142,000 top earners taking their collective fortunes and economic influence with them.

According to UK-based investment migration consultancy Henley & Partners, 142,000 millionaires are expected to gain citizenship in a new country in 2025 – the highest number ever recorded.
This mass movement of millionaires marks the largest voluntary transfer of capital in modern history, shifting global economic influence to regions with large intakes of millionaires by offering new sources of investable wealth.
But with every winner comes a loser. The UAE is at the top, with an estimated 9,800 millionaires expected to move there this year, bringing with them $63 billion in wealth.
Bringing up the rear is the UK, which in one year is losing a staggering 16,500 millionaires, with a collective wealth pot of $92 billion. In fact, since Brexit in 2016, the UK has lost almost 29,000 millionaires.
