Rupert Murdoch’s family has reached a long-awaited succession deal that secures the future of Fox News under Lachlan Murdoch’s control. The agreement ensures the conservative network, a key platform for President Donald Trump and his allies, will not change course after Murdoch’s passing.
Lachlan, who has been leading Fox Corp. in recent years, will share oversight with his younger sisters, Grace and Chloe. In return, his three older siblings — Prudence MacLeod, Elisabeth Murdoch, and James Murdoch — have relinquished their claims in exchange for $3.3 billion in stock.
