Elon Musk has intensified his criticism of President Donald Trump’s Big, Beautiful, bill, urging lawmakers to reject it and calling for a new version that does not deepen the national debt.

In a series of posts on his social media platform X, Musk warned that the bill would “massively grow the deficit” and raise the debt ceiling by $5 trillion. He wrote, “A new spending bill should be drafted that doesn’t massively grow the deficit and increase the debt ceiling by 5 trillion dollars.”

Musk, who recently stepped down from his role in the Trump administration, has called the bill a “disgusting abomination,” before. He added that America is “in the fast lane to debt slavery.”

In another post, shared just 30 minutes ago, Musk urged citizens to pressure Congress: “Call your Senator, Call your Congressman. Bankrupting America is not okay! Kill the bill.”

The bill is currently advancing through Congress amid mounting opposition.
