Elon Musk has sharply criticized President Donald Trump’s new tax and spending bill, calling it a “massive, outrageous, pork-filled, disgusting abomination” in a post on his X platform.

Musk warned that the bill would expand the U.S. budget deficit to $2.5 trillion and place an unsustainable debt burden on American citizens.
The billionaire’s comments come just a week after he formally stepped down from his advisory role in the Trump White House. “Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong,” Musk wrote.
Responding to the criticism, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the president is aware of Musk’s position but remains firm in his support. “This is one big, beautiful bill, and he’s sticking to it,” she told reporters.
