Musk Warns Of Third Party If Trump’s Bill Passes

Elon Musk has threatened to politically target lawmakers who support President Donald Trump’s sweeping budget bill, calling it the “biggest debt increase in history.”

“Every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for [this bill] should hang their head in shame,” Musk posted on X. “And they will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth.”

Later, Musk added that if the “insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day.”

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO, who once advised Trump through his “Department of Government Efficiency” (or Doge), has turned sharply critical of the president’s budget plan, which analysts say would add $3.3 trillion to the deficit.

The post signals a growing rift between Musk and Trump, and injects new uncertainty into the Republican push to pass the bill by July 4.
