President Donald Trump has refuted a New York Times report claiming that Elon Musk was scheduled for a Pentagon briefing on U.S. military plans in the event of war with China. Trump took to Truth Social on Thursday to deny the report, stating that “China will not even be mentioned or discussed” during the meeting.

Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth also clarified the purpose of the briefing, emphasizing that it would focus on “innovation, efficiencies and smarter production” rather than military strategy regarding China.
We look forward to welcoming @elonmusk to the Pentagon tomorrow.

But the fake news delivers again — this is NOT a meeting about “top secret China war plans.” It’s an informal meeting about innovation, efficiencies & smarter production. Gonna be great! https://t.co/sIhsUjqbG9
Elon Musk, who spent roughly 80 minutes at the Pentagon during his visit, has also claimed that "prosecutions" of those who leaked this "false information" to the New York Times will be duly conducted.
The New York Times is pure propaganda.

Also, I look forward to the prosecutions of those at the Pentagon who are leaking maliciously false information to NYT.
They will be found. pic.twitter.com/xANvLMOH5j
