Mythos AI Sparks Cybersecurity Talks In Washington

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent held a closed-door meeting with top U.S. bank CEOs to assess potential cyber risks linked to Anthropic’s new Mythos AI model, according to CNBC.

The report said the discussion was convened separately as concerns grew that hackers could exploit the model’s capabilities.

Anthropic recently released Mythos in limited form due to such risks. The company has not publicly commented, while officials appear to be taking early precautions.
